Sugizo’s contribution on Maaya Sakamoto’s Tribute Album

Maaya Sakamoto celebrates her 20th anniversary this year. A tribute album will be released on April 22th as the celebrations’ kick off. Sugizo will participate on the album with a cover of her song „Bike“.

And his track comes with a small surprise – it will feature the Vocaloid „IA“!
We’re feeling quite curious about how this will turn out.

Maaya Sakamoto is famous as both a voice actress and a singer. Most of her singles are part of anime soundtrack, such as Escaflowne, Wolf’s Rain, Arjuna, Card Captor Sakura and Record of Lodoss War.

They will give out CDs of the song in which TAIJI’s bass playing is recorded to participants at the show. You can listen to a part of it here.

TAIJI with HEAVENS was formed by TAIJI and DAI (Vocal) in 2006. After RYUTARO (Guitar) and TAKANARI (Drums) joined them, they formally started their activities. In 2010, they released their first mini album “TAIJI with HEAVENS” and energetically performed live shows. After RYUTARO resigned in 2011, the band decided to have twin guitars with TOKIYA and HAL, and was supposed to perform a live show in Korea but it had to be canceled because of the East Japan Earthquake. After TAIJI passed away, the other members have been performing a memorial concert every year.

Update on Yoshiki’s health

When Yoshiki Mobile (an exlusive service for Japanese fans) disclosed the current condition of Yoshiki’s health, fans started to worry. His doctors advised him to have surgery as his tendon is already half-torn, and he will become unable to move his hand once it tears entirely, but in consideration of touring and other planned things, he wants to put the surgery off for this year.

“My right hand, it seems there’s no guarantee that it will heal even if I have surgery. Depending on the situation, it will become unable to be used from the day… Then, my conclusion is ‘I’ll continue until it becomes unusable’. Sorry for making you worry. I’ll be ok, #WeAreX!” Yoshiki, February 2nd

As Yoshiki let us know through Yoshiki Mobile, he will try to endure the pain by undergoing acupuncture and other specialized treatments. The fans hope he will find something that will help him and that he takes good care of his health.

“Don’t worry! We’ll announce the world tour soon!” Yoshiki, February 3rd

Get well soon, Yoshiki!
