hide might appear in japanese theaters next year! According to the japanese website Theater Guide, it is planned to create a rock musical named "Pink Spider" as a tribute for the legendary guitarist.
Yuu Takeuchi, member and founder of the theater group Death Densho (デス電所) will take care of the piece, and INA as a former member of hide with Spread Beaver will be involved as its musical director as well.
The premiere of the piece is planned to be in March 2011 at The Globe Tokyo, a theater in Shinjuku.
...Doesn't this sound like "We Will Rock You" in Japanese manner?
Well, let's wait and see - until now there's nothing announced on Death Densho's website. On hide's official website however you can find further information.
NOTE: We previously said there wasn't any information about the musical on hide-city.com available. Herewith we apologize for the false information.

Recently, a twitter and a youtube account for Luna Sea appeared and their website updated, saying nothing more than "REBOOT". Does that mean the reunion and restart of Luna Sea's activities? Currently no more information is available, but let's hope the best and wish good luck to SUGIZO and his band.

However, he still has numbness on his left hand and therefore he had an epidural injection on the morning of May 27th(local time) at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. The procedure was successful and he is doing well. X JAPAN will appear at Lollapalooza and Yokohama as scheduled.
You can find more information about the procedure on YOSHIKI's website. More information around the topic you can find on Wikipedia for instance.

According to various Japanese newspapers X JAPAN will play at the Lollapalooza festival on the last day, which is the 8th of August. In his interview at the ACen festival on the 15th YOSHIKI also mentioned that they'll play on one of the main stages as the next to the last act. There will be a totally new song performed at the festival, named "Born to be Free", for which they'll start shooting a music video abroad (outside of Japan, presumably in the US) next month.
The Yokohama Nissan stadium concerts that were announced earlier this month are scheduled for 14th and 15th of August, the weekend after the Lollapalooza preformance.
