Following his latest singles "MESSIAH" and "FATMIA", SUGIZO will release another piece already this month, on February 24th. It is called "PRANA" and will be a New Wave and Electro oriented work. Furthermore, SUGIZO announced on his homepage that he from now on will release one song every month.
SUGIZO also talks a little about the recording of ToshI's new album, expressing that there's a lot going on lately, but nevertheless, he can feel some kind of strength about ToshI's attitude. It seems like SUGIZO is positive about the situation, even though he's very busy himself.

ToshI is back! He has a new official website (toshi-samuraijapan.com) and announced the release of a new mini album called "Bushi Samurai JAPAN" (武士 Samurai JAPAN). The CD will include four (4) new songs written and produced by ToshI himself: "Airport" - a song which he already mentioned before, "Amaoto" (雨音, transl: sound of rain), "Bushi JAPAN", and "Haru no ibuki" (春の息吹, transl.: Breath of spring). You can listen to some minutes from two of those songs on his website. PATA and SUGIZO participated as guest musicians on the album. However, it will be a limited release of only 2000 copies which can be preordered directly on the website from February 9th at 19:00 (Japan time) on - in 'first come, first serve'-manner. Though, it looks like only japanese residents will have the opportunity to participate. So overseas fans gotta show some more patience. About the concert on February 24th, there is nothing new, yet - only, PATA, HEATH, SUGIZO and YOSHIKI are now confirmed as guest musicians. So we gotta check back for further information.

Several news websites reported about YOSHIKI's appearance on the red carpet at the Grammy Award 2010 that took place on January 31 (local time). There he announced that X JAPAN accepted the request to play at Chicago's music festival 'Lollapalooza' that will take place from 6th to 8th August, 2010. If X JAPAN play there, they will be the first japanese rock band that plays on the main stage. During the event that is lasting three days, 225000 visitors will be expected.
However, we still have to wait for official confirmation from X JAPAN, as there's nothing announced on their website, yet, or anywhere else.
